Understanding what’s important to you is my #1 job
In my professional career and my personal relationships, I have earned a reputation of being a moderate person, not subject to extremes, who brings people together and gets things done.
That is what I will do as your State Representative.
On June 1st I filed as a Democratic candidate so that I can earn your vote to become your State Representative in November because:
- Politics is for solving problems, not for alienating or winning an argument.
- In this time of intense feelings and extremes – when people are yelling at each other, not talking with each other, we won’t be able to solve any of our problems and find good, acceptable solutions, unless we listen to each other and discuss what’s best for our towns, our state – and especially for our kids!
- I will listen – it’s what I’ve done successfully all my life – to bring people together and make things happen.
What’s important to me –
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, and to have a quality public education
All people are equal and deserve equal rights
All people deserve to be safe
All people deserve a healthy environment
Leaders, as well as parents, should be good role models for our kids
I believe the most important thing is family
My husband, Bob, and I married and built our home in Canterbury in 2001. We have three grown children and spouses and five grandchildren, whom we adore. I am the oldest of five.
